Michael Clapton

Joint Managing Director – Head Office

Michael has worked in recruitment since 2005 and has been running recruitment businesses since 2008, with experience across temporary, permanent and contract recruitment and a wide range of sectors. Today, his focus is firmly on leading and developing Your Recruiters, driving the sales, strategy, operations, compliance, standards, processes and culture behind the business.

No longer working a recruitment desk himself, Michael’s role is to make sure the people who do have everything they need to be brilliant at it. He’s passionate about developing recruiters, setting high standards and building a business where talented people can progress, succeed and want to stay for many years.

A candid and passionate communicator, Michael believes in being straightforward, treating people fairly and doing what you say you’re going to do. He wants Your Recruiters to be a business without egos or unnecessary hierarchy, where high standards matter, people are encouraged to be themselves and doing the right thing for clients, candidates and colleagues is simply how the company operates.

  • Over 20 years’ experience across temporary, permanent and contract recruitment.

  • Straight-talking, approachable and always happy to have a conversation.

  • Drives the strategy, standards and culture behind Your Recruiters.

John Boggis

Joint Managing Director – Head Office

With more than 20 years in recruitment, John is a highly experienced permanent recruiter who remains exactly where he likes to be: personally recruiting, developing client and candidate relationships and making placements.

A Commercial & Professional recruiter at heart, John works across both regions and nationally, recruiting across a broad range of roles. His experience particularly comes into its own on more senior appointments, where understanding the business, the person and what will make the relationship work long term matters just as much as what’s written on a CV.

Popular with clients, candidates and colleagues alike, John has a natural ability to build relationships and genuinely enjoys getting to know people. He remains a hands-on billing recruiter while also sharing more than two decades of experience with the wider team, mentoring other recruiters and helping them develop their own approach, relationships and careers.

  • Genuinely approachable and easy to deal with, with longstanding client and candidate relationships built over many years.

  • An experienced permanent recruiter who takes ownership from the initial vacancy through interviews, feedback, offer and acceptance.

  • Still makes recruitment personal. Wherever practical, he’ll meet candidates in person and properly understand the person he’s representing, not simply forward a CV.

  • Trusted with senior and international appointments, representing clients and their brands professionally well beyond their local candidate market.

Josh Whitmore

East Midlands Recruitment Manager

Josh leads our East Midlands team, specialising in temporary and permanent Manufacturing & Production recruitment. He’s naturally curious and loves building his knowledge of the businesses, processes and people that make manufacturing work.

For Josh, understanding the job starts with understanding the process: what the business makes, how it’s produced, the machinery involved and what somebody needs to succeed. He takes the same interest whether recruiting unskilled production labour, semi-skilled operators or experienced skilled and technical people.

Josh wants to understand where every role fits within the wider operation rather than simply matching job titles. From production operatives and machine operators through to skilled trades, quality, maintenance and management, he enjoys learning what makes one manufacturing environment different from another.

  • Genuinely passionate about Manufacturing & Production and interested in how things are made and the people required to make them.

  • Recruits across unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled manufacturing roles, understanding how different skills and people contribute to the production process.

  • Technically curious. He wants to know what the machine does and why two candidates with the same job title can have completely different experience.

  • Detailed in his work and takes responsibility for properly understanding a requirement rather than relying on assumptions or simply matching keywords.
