We are urgently recruiting Production Operatives and Machine Operatives for a large concrete manufacturing company.

Location: Near Coalville, Leicestershire (LE67)

Standard Working Hours: 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday. These positions are working on a regular morning shift, working 4AM – 2PM or 4:45AM – 2:45PM

Hourly Pay Rate: £12.21 – £13.60 per hour (depending on experience)

Overtime Rules: Paid at X1.5 over 40 hours per week & Saturdays. Paid at X 2.0 for Sundays & Bank Holidays.

Contract Type: These are temporary positions that may lead to permanent employment after 13 weeks’ service. You will work for Your Recruiters Limited and be paid weekly by the Agency until the position is made permanent.

Production Bonus Benefit: The company offers a Production Bonus that is paid weekly. The bonus is variable depending upon company performance with Output, Quality, & Safety. Although there are no guarantees, you can earn £50 – £100 per week as a Production Bonus.

Job Duties:

• You will be allocated to work in a specific production area or on a machine to operate. Although the production areas and machines are different throughout the factory, you will be required to stand for long periods and complete repetitive tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment.

• The company has a strict health and safety policy. You are required keep your work area clean and tidy and follow the company’s health and safety policies at all times.

• You may be required to operate a forklift truck counterbalance or other mechanical handling equipment (in-house training provided).

• You are required to complete important paperwork, complete machinery checks, and collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve processes.

• Your duties will be undertaken in a concrete batching plant. The environment is noisy and dirty and there may be times when your production area / machine is on a breakdown. At these times, you may be asked to undertake any general labouring or hygiene tasks.

• Although not essential, previous experience in fast-paced repetitive manufacturing / machine operating could be an advantage.
• Although not essential, previous experience of operating a FLT counterbalance could be an advantage.
• You must be hard-working, reliable, and have your own transport (due to the work location and start times).
• You must have strong numeracy and literacy skills and be comfortable in an environment where you are required to complete paperwork and use a computer system for logging information.
