Position: Internal Sales Representative – Metals & Aerospace
Location: 
Minworth, Sutton Coldfield (B76)
Hours: 
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: 
£28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Generous Bonus Scheme
Contract: Permanent

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join a leading supplier of aluminium, titanium, steel and other specialist metals to the aerospace sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in metal distribution or aerospace sales who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships within a defined territory, promoting products and driving revenue growth, while delivering a first-class customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a defined customer base within the aerospace industry
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including reactivating dormant accounts
  • Promote the full range of metal products to existing and prospective clients
  • Conduct outbound calls, respond to incoming enquiries and provide prompt quotations
  • Process sales orders and quotations accurately using StelPlan
  • Conduct territory reviews and customer visits in coordination with the Sales Manager
  • Provide technical product information and support when required
  • Resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer communications and activity
  • Monitor account status, including credit holds and overdue payments
  • Communicate market insights, customer feedback and competitor activity to management

 Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in metal distribution or aerospace sales
  • Strong sales and customer service background with a proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with sales systems or CRMs, ideally StelPlan or similar
