Job Title: Audit Senior
Contract: Permanent
Location: Northampton
Contract Type/Hours: Full Time, flexi hours (Core hours – 10-4)
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum (up to £52,000 DOE)

We’re representing a well established and forward thinking accountancy practice who are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team in Northampton. In this role, you’ll take ownership of delivering audits and assurance services for a varied SME client base, while working in a supportive, modern environment with clear scope for progression.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading audits for SME clients across a range of industries
• Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Leading and mentoring audit teams to deliver high quality service
• Conducting group audits, including consolidated accounts and intercompany transactions
• Preparing financial statements (including consolidated accounts) and tax computations
• Supporting advisory projects and specialist assignments across various industries
• Building trusted client relationships while representing the firm professionally

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with 2+ years’ post qualified experience
• Strong technical knowledge and hands on audit experience
• Someone that is able to liaise directly with clients and network for business development
• Proactive, motivated and able to manage a small client portfolio
• Preferably Northampton based

Recruitment Process:

Stage 1: Interview with the senior team. Mix of technical audit questions and competency-based practical’s (“how would you…” scenarios). Focus on technical ability and client-facing skills.
