We’re recruiting for an experienced Saw / Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Belfast (BT3). This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced factory setting, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and quality. Experience is essential and this position is available immediately.

Job Title: Saw / Machine Operator
Location: Belfast BT3
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Shift: Days
Salary: £27,497.60 per annum
Contract: Full time, permanent

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operate billet prep and saw machinery safely and efficiently
  • Use band saws or chop saws in line with health & safety standards
  • Check materials prior to cutting including size, spec, alloy, grain direction and lot numbers
  • Review cut plans and drawings to ensure accuracy against sales orders
  • Cut and verify components to customer tolerances using measuring instruments
  • Program saws for cutting operations
  • Complete first-off and ongoing dimensional checks, including 100% checks where required
  • Stamp and label parts with relevant identification and specifications
  • Carry out daily saw maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Weigh cut materials and remnants and ensure correct storage and packaging
  • Operate fork trucks, jib cranes and vacuum lifts when required
  • Complete daily safety and productivity checks and documentation
  • Maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement
  • Manual handling up to 20kg
  • Ensure PPE is worn at all times without exception

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience operating saw or machine equipment in a factory environment
  • Band saw or chop saw experience is essential
  • Ability to read drawings and cutting plans accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable working to health, safety, and quality standards
  • Fork truck or crane experience is advantageous
