You’ll be joining a stable manufacturer known for high specification components supplied into specialist hydraulic systems used across mobile, marine, and industrial sectors. You’ll be trusted to work independently on a Haas 1250 VMC. Setting up jobs, making minor edits, and maintaining production standards across low to medium batch runs.
Job Title: CNC Machinist Setter / Operator (5 Axis Haas VMC)
Salary & Benefits: £30,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience) + Overtime + Benefits including Private Medical Insurance
Location: Southam, West Midlands
Hours and Shifts: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM to 17:00 PM | 16:00 PM Finish on Fridays
Duties:
You’ll set and operate a 5 axis Haas CNC vertical machining centre, working on high tolerance parts in a precision focused team.
- Set and operate a Haas 1250 5 axis vertical machining centre
- Work from engineering drawings and follow machining instructions
- Carry out basic inspections and adjust offsets where necessary
- Ensure machines are running efficiently and parts are produced to spec
- Maintain a clean, organised work area and follow company safety procedures
- No programming required – just confident setting and running jobs
What We’re Looking For:
This role suits a competent machinist who understands how to get the best from Haas/Fanuc controls.
- Experience setting and operating CNC machines – ideally 5-axis VMCs
- Confident using Haas and/or Fanuc control systems
- Able to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to quality
- Good communicator and team player with a proactive mindset
This is an excellent opportunity if you’ve worked with Haas machines and want a Monday to Friday role.
