Role: Labourer / Workshop Operative
Location: Barrow upon Soar
Pay: £13 per hour
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Overtime opportunities available: 1.5x midweek and Saturdays, 2x Sundays
We’re supporting a specialist joinery and manufacturing workshop that creates high end retail displays, pop up installations and bespoke interiors for luxury clients. The work is varied, fast paced and done to a high standard, so they’re looking for someone who’s reliable, hardworking and ready to get stuck in.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hands on labouring across the workshop
- Wrapping, stacking and moving materials
- Operating a counterbalance FLT (licence required)
- Emptying wood bins and CNC extraction bags
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and safe
- Supporting skilled joiners, CNC operators and shopfitters
- Some yard work and occasional delivery support
- Busy, skilled team with a proper workshop atmosphere
What We’re Looking For:
- Hardworking and reliable
- Comfortable with physical work
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Positive attitude and willing to help wherever needed
- Counterbalance FLT licence required
- Someone who wants stability and a long term role
What You’ll Experience Here:
- High end, interesting projects including airports, hotels and retail experiences
- Everything is produced in-house with modern machinery
- Strong focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability
- Well established, growing company with a supportive team
- Good progression potential over time
