Position: Stainless Steel Polisher

Location: Northampton

Contract: Temp to Perm

Hourly Rate: £13 per hour (to be reviewed after training)

Shift Pattern:
Days:
7:00am – 3:30pm (Monday to Thursday) & 7:00am – 3:00pm (Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Polish, buff and finish stainless steel components using hand tools and polishing machinery.
  • Interpret finish specifications and job sheets to achieve brushed or mirror finishes.
  • Inspect components for surface defects such as scratches, weld marks or imperfections.
  • Use abrasive compounds, sanding tools and grinders to prepare parts for polishing.
  • Maintain polishing equipment and ensure cleanliness in the polishing room.
  • Follow company quality protocols and meet production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with polishing wheels, grinders and hand tools is preferred – but training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot surface imperfections.
  • Comfortable working on your feet, lifting up to 25kg and using PPE (e.g. gloves, goggles, ear protection).
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced team members.
