Experienced MIG/TIG Welder looking for steady hours and an early Friday finish?

We’re recruiting for a MIG/TIG Welder to join a well-established machining and fabrication specialist based in Aston, Birmingham. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in tidy welds, accurate work, and working safely in a busy fabrication environment. The position is available to start ASAP.

Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder
Location: Aston, Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm | Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Total Hours: 39 hours per week

Salary: £15.00 – £15.50 per hour (DOE)
(£30,420 – £31,434 per annum)
Contract: Temp to perm

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operate MIG/TIG welding equipment to fabricate metal components to specification
  • Read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings accurately
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure welds meet required standards
  • Fabricate sheet metal components for a variety of projects
  • Use basic maths skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a MIG/TIG Welder within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand and power tools
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting
