Hours of Work: 40.5hrs per week (7.00am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs & Fri 2.00pm finish)

Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 rising to £34,000 after training

We are recruiting for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join an engineering company in Banbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with press brake experience who wants to develop further, receive training on punch presses, and increase their earnings on completion of training.

If you have experience operating press brakes, Amada press brakes, or sheet metal machinery and want a role where you can expand your skills in a busy engineering environment, this could be the perfect next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently
  • Set and run press brakes to manufacture sheet metal parts
  • Read and work from engineering drawings
  • Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met
  • Carry out basic machine checks and adjustments
  • Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production target
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area
  • Train on punch presses and develop into a multi skilled operator

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator, Brake Press Operator, Sheet Metal Operator, Machine Operator, or CNC Press Brake Operator
  • Experience within an engineering, sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience setting and operating press brakes
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable and proactive approach to work
  • Willingness to learn new machinery and complete training on punch presses
