Position: Quality Inspector

Location: Northampton

Hours: Mon – Thurs 7am – 3.30pm and Friday 7am – 3pm

Pay: £13.00 hr

Contract: Temp to Perm

As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be based on the shopfloor, working as part of an experienced inspection team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all fabricated and machined components meet exacting standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting fabricated parts and completed assemblies
  • Measuring with vernier callipers, gauges, and tape measures to tight tolerances
  • Raising non-conformance reports as needed
  • Working in a hands-on, busy engineering environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous inspection experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting (essential)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret 1st and 3rd angle engineering drawings (essential)
  • Practical, hands-on approach
  • High attention to detail
  • Confident working safely within a busy shopfloor team
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and welding processes (Desirable)
  • Understanding of general machining practices (Desirable)
