Job Title: Sales Manager – Sheet Metal Manufacturing
Remuneration: Basic Salary up to £45K per year + commission + bespoke package (depending on experience)
Location: Office location is in Leicestershire (LE7). The role is hybrid and will include travelling around the UK to client meetings, networking events, and trade shows.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and win new business across engineering and manufacturing sectors.
- Work closely with Directors and Estimators to ensure accurate quotations and solutions.
- Attend trade shows, network events, and customer meetings to build brand presence.
- Carry out proactive outreach: Cold calls, warm leads, social media engagement and LinkedIn campaigns.
- Use CRM and AI tools to identify, approach and convert potential customers.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and manage the full sales cycle from prospect to close.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within manufacturing, engineering, or sheet metal fabrication.
- Technically minded – able to understand production processes and speak the language of engineering.
- Confident communicator with the drive and resilient to open new doors and close deals.
- Comfortable combining traditional sales activity (calls, trade shows, networking) with modern digital tools.
- Self-motivated, results driven and eager to grow with a forward-thinking business.
About The Company:
Our client is a growing and well established sheet-metal manufacturer supplying precision-engineered components across a range of sectors including retail displays, lighting, electrical and automotive. They’ve invested heavily in modern machinery and facilities and are continuing to diversify into new markets.
As part of their next phase of growth, they’re looking to appoint a dedicated Business Development / Sales Manager to take ownership of sales activity, drive new business and help shape the company’s commercial strategy.
