9am - 5pm Customer Service office based jobs in Coventry are not as common as you might think.
Especially not Customer Services 9am - 5pm's where you can progress with a big company, never work a weekend, and not feel like a machine being bored doing the same tasks repeatedly. You do have to work in the offices for your 9am - 5pm though. There are no hybrid work options here. The workload is too fast paced and the customer services you are providing often require you to identify issues in the supply chain through sales, production, and transport & logistics. You need to be onsite to find out answers from stakeholders to provide customer solutions (that you will be coordinating).
Have you got strong practical skills?
Your customers are builders, main contractors and the wider construction industry that are doing roof jobs on behalf of their clients. Your company provides bespoke manufacturing solutions for the roofing and panel glazing market. If you work in a modern metal clad building with roof lights for natural daylight, your company probably manufactured and installed it. Having pre-existing strong practical skills (around things like measurements and material types) will help you hit the ground running in an extensive training matrix. You need this to gain the credible technical competence you require to be successful in this role.
Is fast paced customer services on the frontline for construction clients a potential job match for you?
- You must have a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer services and have previous experience in a fast paced customer services environment. You are going to be dealing with customers whose goods are damaged in transit and customers who have messed up measurements somewhere and need more goods ASAP. This is a "cradle to cradle" customer services role where you are processing orders, dealing with complaints, and finding solutions to problems that could potentially delay completion dates. It's a data input / customer services / order processor / complaints advisor type role.
- You won't enjoy it here if you work best in environments where things usually run like clockwork. Workload is reactive and the direction of your day can change at any point. Having the ability to multi-task, stay organised, and think on your feet are all traits of customer services people at this company.
- You must be a natural problem solver with a genuine desire to help people. Products that work, advice you can trust, promises kept are not empty words on the company website. As a frontline complaints handler and customer service advisor you are critical this delivery.
