Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Contract Type: Temporary – Contract up 3 Months Initially (Potential for Permanent)

Location: Birmingham B18 (Winson Green)

Hours of work: 7.30am – 4.30pm | Mon – Fri (40hrs)

Salary:  £13.50ph (£28,080pa plus O/T)

Our client is currently looking for Mechanical Assembler, immediate starts based in the North of Birmingham.  They specialise in bespoke automation, security and access control solutions. We deal with a wide range of clients from commercial to residential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be assembling a wide variety of bespoke security products at our factory/warehouse in Winson Green. The role will involve using hand tools and heavy lifting. Other general factory work within your capabilities such as packing and operating machinery may be required depending on the demands of the business. There will be a large variety of products being assembled, ranging from turnstiles to residential gates to large scale commercial gates. (Please refer to our website).

What We’re Looking For:

  • For this role, you must:
  • Have experience with hand tools.
  • Be dextrous and have a good eye for detail, with meticulous quality standards.
  • Be physically able to lift heavy components.
  • Have experience in using battery powered hand tools, pop riveting, etc.
  • Be able to work from technical drawings and verbal instructions.

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in assembling similar products, or other products with similar principles.
