We’re working in partnership with a world-leading steel and mining company to recruit a Sales Manager for their Sheet Piling division, covering the UK and Ireland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage technical sales across a portfolio of civil engineering, rail, marine and infrastructure projects – providing tailored foundation solutions and acting as the key commercial point of contact between customers and international production facilities.

The Role:

Job Title: Sales Manager
Sector: Structural Steel / Construction / Civil Engineering
Location: Solihull (Hybrid Role) – UK-wide travel required
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 (depending on experience)
Package: Bonus Scheme (linked to commercial performance) + Private Healthcare + 7.5% Pension Contribution
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage and grow a client base and project portfolio across the UK & Ireland
  • Act as the main contact between customers and European steel mills
  • Provide commercial and technical advice on sheet piling and foundation solutions
  • Lead project negotiations from tender through to delivery and final invoicing
  • Track and interpret market trends, project pipelines, and competitor activity
  • Work closely with logistics, technical and finance teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Drive sales volume, margin and commercial performance in line with targets

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in sales or commercial project management within steel, manufacturing, or construction
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure project cycles and engineered solutions
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working with SAP, Excel, Teams, and CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe
