Job Title: Saw Plate Machine Operator

Contract Type: Temporary Contract till Dec 2025

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol (BS11)
Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts – 37.5 hours per week

  • Week 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Week 2: 1.30pm – 12:00pm (Monday to Wednesday) + Thursday 1.30pm – 11:30pm

Salary: £15.90ph (£31,007pa inc. shift allowance)

We are seeking a full-time Plate Saw Operator to work in a factory environment. Experience is essential. If you’re detail-oriented and committed to safety, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Operate the plate / band saw safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • CB FLT licence required
  • Verify materials and cut plans to ensure precision before cutting.
  • Perform quality checks on cut pieces using measuring instruments.
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks on the saw and assist with housekeeping.
  • Operate fork trucks and jib cranes as required, ensuring productivity sheets are completed daily.

 What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Saw Operator, specifically with plate or band saws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of cutting specifications and quality control measures.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kgs and perform manual handling tasks.
  • Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
