Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

Salary: Negotiable circa £45,000 per year

Shift: Flexible shift patterns to suit your preferences. Production runs Monday to Friday, with operations beginning as early as 5:30 am and packaging extending to 3:30 pm. Evening shifts are available based on preference.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance and upgrades for machinery across two main production lines: bread and sweets.
• Manage bread production equipment like conveyors, proofers, ovens, and packaging machines; includes project work to enhance automation and efficiency.
• Support the sweets production line, primarily manual with plans for automation in the near future.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize production.
• Take ownership of project-based upgrades and PPM to support business growth.

Machinery You Are Responsible For Maintaining:

• Bread Line: Sheeting machines, hoppers, proofers, travelling ovens, incline conveyors, cooling belts.
• Sweet Line: Rack ovens, flow wrap and shrink wrap machines, pastry machines, manual packing lines.
• Automation of the sweets production line.

What We’re Looking For:

• Electrically skilled with a solid foundation in mechanical maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in PPM, reactive maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
• Proven ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and propose efficiency improvements.
• Previous experience with production machinery like conveyors, ovens, flow wrappers, and cooling systems.
• Experience with automation projects is highly beneficial.
