We are recruiting for a skilled Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced food production facility near Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer seeking a stable role within a dynamic team, working on a fixed afternoon shift (2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week) plus 1-2 Sunday shifts per month (paid as overtime at your hourly rate).

Position: Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer

Location: Near Milton Keynes

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime & Excellent Benefits

Your Responsibilities:

    • Take the electrical maintenance lead on the afternoon shift, ensuring smooth operation of the production line.
    • Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
    • Maintain and repair key equipment, including conveyors, mixers, weighing and dispensing units, silos, and hoppers.
    • Ensure minimal downtime by diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
    • Manage spare parts, tools, and engineering records, keeping all necessary documentation up to date.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of health & safety compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Electrical bias engineer with experience in food, FMCG, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of automated production lines, conveyors, and weighing/dispensing systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a 5-person engineering team.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining food production equipment.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
