Role: CNC Turner (Programmer / Setter / Operator)

Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7 am – 4 pm, Friday 12 pm (noon) finish
Benefits: Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x and 1.3x , pension scheme, early finish Fridays and more!

A well-established precision engineering company, operating for over 50 years, is looking for a CNC Turner (Programmer / Setter / Operator) to join their highly skilled team. Specialising in small batch, one off, and prototype machining, they produce medium to large components across a variety of materials, including aluminium, titanium, and plastics. This is a family run business that offer the opportunity to work on unique and interesting products daily.

Responsibilities:

 As a CNC Turner, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Programming Fanuc controlled CNC lathes directly at the machine from engineering drawings.
  • Working on one off and prototype components to tight tolerances.
  • Programming, setting and operating Doosan Lynx & Puma lathes (C-axis and driven tools).
  • Machining components with diameters ranging from 1 inch to 400mm.

  • XYZ Prototrak machines
  • OneCNC (offline programming)
  • CAD/CAM systems
  • Manual milling and grinding
