Position Details:

• Position: Laser Welding Operative
• Location: Loughborough
• Working Hours: Rotational Mornings and Afternoons Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)
• Pay: £13.25 per hour + overtime paid at X1.3 in the week, and X1.5 at weekends
• Employment Type: Temp to Perm Opportunity

Your Role as a Laser Welding Operative:

• Operate laser welding machinery to produce high-precision sheet metal components
• Set up and adjust welding machines for different materials
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools to maintain weld integrity
• Work with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health & safety procedures
• Support basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting when required

What You Need to Succeed:

• Experience in laser welding OR machine operation in an engineering/manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Quality control experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail, technical competence, and problem-solving ability
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)
