We’re recruiting for a CNC Operator (Mazak) to join a busy engineering and manufacturing business producing precision machines and fabricated components for the yellow goods sector. You’ll be working in a proper engineering environment with a mix of high-volume batch work and smaller, more varied jobs.

Job Title: CNC Operator (Mazak)
Location: Leicester
Basic Pay Rate: £13.00 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Night Shift Allowance: £2.00 per hour
Total Pay Rate: £15.00 – £16.00 per hour
Night Shift Hours: Monday – Thursday | 6:00pm – 6:00am (48 hours paid)
Overtime: Paid at time and one third above 48 hours

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating Mazak CNC machines as part of your day-to-day work
• Loading and unloading materials and monitoring machine cycles
• Making basic offsets and adjustments where required
• Checking parts against drawings and specifications
• Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Supporting general shop floor operations where needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience operating CNC machines (Mazak preferred)
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and quality awareness
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced environment
• Experience making adjustments or editing programmes
• Background in subcontract engineering or batch production
