Job Title: Fettler

Location: Leicestershire (LE7)

Pay: £12.50 – £14.00 per hour, depending on skill level and experience (Fettling test carried out during interview to confirm rate)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm

Contract Type: Ongoing temporary work with long term potential

If you take pride in turning rough steel into something sharp, smooth, and spot on, this one’s for you. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Fettler who knows their way around grinders, sanders, and hand tools – someone who enjoys an early finish, takes quality seriously, and isn’t afraid of getting hands on in a busy sheet metal environment.

This is a role for someone who’s done fettling before, not learning on the job but adding value from day one.

You’ll be getting stuck into:

• Fettling, grinding, deburring, and polishing sheet metal components
• Removing press marks, sharp edges, and surface defects to a clean finish
• Working from engineering drawings where required
• Using hand tools, air tools, and electrical grinders confidently
• Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and production ready
• Working independently while supporting the wider fabrication team
• Liaising with the Production Manager to hit daily targets

You’ll need to bring:

• Proven fettling experience in a fabrication or sheet metal environment
• Confidence using sanders, air saws, grinders, and hand tools
• A sharp eye for detail and pride in high quality finishes
