Job Title: Metal Finisher / Linisher

Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour + Fantastic Benefits Package

Location: Northampton

Hours: Mon – Thurs 7:00am – 3:30pm | Fri 7:00am – 3:00pm (40 hours paid)

This Northampton based sheet metal business has over 30 years of trading history. They supply stainless, aluminium and mild steel fabrications across the UK and Europe. The workshop is modern, organised and quality driven. Standards are high and parts are expected to leave production ready for coating or final assembly.

This is a production finishing role within a professional engineering environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Deburring and cleaning edges of sheet metal components
• Removing burrs, sharp edges and slag using hand tools and machinery
• Linishing and grinding to achieve consistent surface finishes
• Operating edge cleaning and bead blasting equipment
• Masking and protecting critical areas before finishing processes
• Inspecting components before and after finishing
• Following drawings and finishing specifications
• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or finishing role (1+ year preferred)
• Experience with grinders, deburring tools or linishing machines
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to spot small imperfections
• Understanding of workshop safety and PPE requirements
• Experience within sheet metal fabrication would be advantageous
