Job Title: CNC Machinist – Turning (CNC & Manual Lathes)
Location: Leicester
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm | Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm
Contract: Permanent
Pay: Minimum £14 per hour – will pay more depending on experience.

We’re working with a long standing engineering manufacturer in Leicester supplying machined components into OEM customers, including the yellow goods / heavy equipment sector.

They’re looking to add a CNC Machinist with a turning bias to support ongoing production and small batch work.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working primarily on CNC lathes, setting and operating machines
  • Producing components for ongoing production work (approx. 80%)
  • Manufacturing small batch and low volume components (approx. 20%)
  • Using manual lathes for legacy and “ghost” parts
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Maintaining consistent quality in a production led environment

Machines on Site:

  • Doosan CNC Lathes
  • Colchester Manual Lathes

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as a CNC Turner
  • Confident setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Manual lathe experience is essential
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Hours, Breaks & Pay:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm | Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm
  • One 30 minute unpaid lunch break
  • Early finish every Friday
