Position: Dispatch Operative

Location: Loughborough

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm (moving to 7am–3pm in the new year)

Pay: £12.50 – £13.00 to start, rising to £13.50 after probation

Contract: Permanent from Day 1

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Load and unload vehicles safely using a forklift.
• Pack, wrap and prepare products to customer specifications, working indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Carry out final checks on paint and metal finishes before dispatch.
• Complete delivery notes and accurately book jobs into the MIE dispatch system.
• Support other departments when needed to keep production moving efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid FLT Counterbalance licence.
• Experience working in a busy dispatch or goods out environment.
• Confidence using computer systems and willingness to learn the dispatch booking software.
• Ability to complete packing, checking and manual handling tasks safely (up to 30 – 35kg, always shared).
• A reliable, proactive attitude with good communication and strong attention to detail.
• Desirable extras include reading engineering drawings and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
