We’re supporting a busy and well established woodworking manufacturer in Wigston that produces high quality bespoke components for a range of commercial and specialist clients. This is a hands on workshop role where you’ll be responsible for spraying, finishing and preparing solid wood and veneered products to an exceptional standard. You’ll be working on varied, custom items in a fast paced but supportive manufacturing environment.
Job Title: Furniture Sprayer
Location: Wigston
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm
Pay: Up to £14 – £16 per hour (experience dependent)
Benefits: 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays, overtime opportunities, long term stability, varied and interesting project work
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Spray paint and lacquer furniture, components and bespoke joinery
- Mix, match and apply coatings including primers, base coats and topcoats
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, filling and smoothing
- Work with a range of finishing products, including paints, stains, oils and lacquers
- Ensure consistent colour matching and high quality finishing on all items
- Maintain spray equipment and ensure a clean and safe working area
- Support wider workshop production where needed in a busy manufacturing environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Furniture Sprayer, Wood Finisher or similar finishing role
- Knowledge of spraying techniques (HVLP / air-assisted preferred)
- Strong understanding of coatings, lacquers and finishing materials
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to a high end finish
- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent quality in a fast paced workshop
- A reliable work ethic and good communication skills
