We’re recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a busy engineering and manufacturing business producing precision machined and fabricated components for the yellow goods sector. You’ll be working across both high-volume batch work and smaller, more varied jobs in a proper hands-on environment.

Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Leicester (LE2)
Basic Pay Rate: £14.50 – £16.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift Hours: Monday – Thursday | 7:00am – 5:15pm
Breaks: 15 minute paid break at 9:45am | 30 minute unpaid lunch at 12:30pm

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections across machined and fabricated components
• Using inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and callipers
• Checking parts against engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation
• Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or processes
• Supporting ISO9001 quality procedures and audit requirements
• Working closely with machining, fabrication and welding teams to maintain standards
• Supporting calibration checks and general quality processes

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working as a Quality Inspector within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently
• Experience using inspection and metrology equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Basic IT skills for recording inspection data and audit information
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
• Experience within machining, fabrication or welding environments would be an advantage with ISO9001 quality standards
• Experience with CMM or Faro Arm equipment would be an advantage
• Understanding of calibration processes
• Knowledge of steel standards and material certification
