Job Title: Welder Fabricator
Location: Leicester (LE7)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am (Friday off)
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with potential to go permanent
Pay: Dependent on ability (assessed during skills test)
Benefits: Four day week, free onsite parking, long term opportunity, supportive workshop environment

About the Role

  • Welding and fabricating precision sheet metal components
  • Working mainly with TIG and MIG on thin gauge metals
  • Following detailed engineering drawings
  • Producing high quality, accurate work in a clean, safety led workshop
  • Late shift pattern offering a strong work life balance with Fridays off

What You’ll Be Doing

  • TIG and MIG welding on precision sheet metal
  • Fabricating components using a range of hand tools
  • Working with thin gauge materials
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols
  • Finishing, fettling and grinding your own work
  • Keeping the workspace always organised and operating safely

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in TIG, MIG or ARC welding
  • Strong sheet-metal fabrication skills
  • Ability to understand detailed drawings
  • Confidence using workshop tools and fabrication equipment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and maths ability
  • A reliable, safety minded approach

Working Environment

  • Workshop production environment with required PPE
  • Manual handling including bending, lifting and moving steel
