Job Title: TIG Welder
Location: Northampton

Hours: 3 Shift Options Available (All 40 Hours Paid)

• Days: Mon – Thurs 7:00am – 3:30pm | Fri 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Back Shift (+ £1.00 per hour uplift): Mon – Thurs | 1:00pm – 11:30pm
• Night Shift (+ £2.00 per hour uplift): Mon – Thurs | 7:30pm – 6:00am

Pay Rate: Up to £16.00 basic rate per hour + Shift Uplifts + Overtime paid at enhanced rates

This Northampton based sheet metal manufacturer has over 30 years of steady growth behind them. They supply high quality stainless, aluminium and mild steel fabrications across the UK and Europe. The workshop is modern, organised and quality driven. Standards are high and weld finish matters.

This isn’t heavy structural rush work. It’s precision fabrication.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• TIG welding predominantly stainless and mild steel
• Working with material thicknesses typically between 1mm to 5mm
• Light gauge TIG welding including back purging
• Heavier gauge fabrication when required
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Measuring to tight tolerances using verniers and tape measures
• Checking and signing off your own work

What You’ll Need

• Proven TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good proven experience working with stainless steel
• Ability to read engineering drawings independently
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Fabrication knowledge
