Job Role: Production Operative

Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £27,000 + £170 monthly shift allowance
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Contract: Permanent
Overtime: Saturdays paid at double time

We’re recruiting for a specialist UK manufacturer specialising in high purity lithium chemicals used across electric vehicles, batteries, pharmaceuticals, glass, ceramics and other specialist industries.

Following major investment in its Basingstoke operation, the business is continuing to grow and is now looking for a reliable Production Operative to join the team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Packing lithium products in powder and liquid form
  • Handling chemical sacks, drums and containers
  • Using vacuum lifting equipment to move bags weighing up to 25kg
  • Operating sealing machinery and conveyors
  • Stacking and preparing finished products
  • Using a Counterbalance FLT to move materials
  • Completing production records accurately
  • Cleaning equipment and maintaining high housekeeping standards
  • Following strict safety, quality and operating procedures
  • Supporting plant operation, basic testing and chemical processes once trained

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous production, manufacturing, warehouse or factory experience
  • Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Good basic literacy and numeracy
  • Able to follow detailed procedures and safety instructions
  • Comfortable completing repetitive and physical work
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
  • High focus on health, safety and quality
  • Comfortable wearing PPE, including respiratory equipment where required

Previous chemical or lithium experience is not required, as full training will be provided.
