We’re recruiting a Quality Control Technician to join a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Loughborough.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a GMP regulated industry, developing valuable quality, inspection and compliance skills that can open doors to future opportunities within pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.

Working as part of the Quality Control team, you’ll be responsible for inspecting packaging materials and components used in the production of pharmaceutical products. If you enjoy detailed work, spotting issues others might miss and working in a structured environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Job Role: Quality Control Technician

Location: Loughborough

Salary: £12.94 per hour

Working Hours: Flexible start between 7:00am and 8:00am

8 hour shift including a 30 minute unpaid break (7.5 hour working day)

Contract Type: 12 Month Temporary Contract

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Inspecting incoming packaging materials and components
  • Checking plastics, metals, canisters, patient leaflets and other materials for defects or quality issues
  • Carrying out dimensional inspections using equipment such as rulers, calipers and micrometres
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP requirements
  • Accurately recording inspection results and maintaining quality documentation
  • Identifying and reporting quality deviations
  • Supporting compliance with quality, health and safety standards
  • Working as part of a team committed to maintaining high quality standards

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for candidates who are:

  • Naturally detail focused and methodical
  • Comfortable following procedures and working to high standards
  • Able to maintain concentration during repetitive inspection activities
  • Curious, reliable and eager to learn

Previous experience that could be beneficial includes:

  • Quality control or quality inspection
  • Manufacturing or production environments
  • Packaging or component inspection
  • Assembly, testing or laboratory-based work

No previous GMP or pharmaceutical experience is required as full training will be provided.
