Site Project Coordinator – Forestry & Landscaping

Location: Glasgow / Southwest Scotland
Contract: Minimum 6 months, with potential to extend
Rate: £20–£30 per hour DOE
Start: 1st September

We’re looking for a practical, organised Site Project Coordinator to support the delivery of commercial forestry and landscaping projects across Scotland.

This isn’t a senior Project Manager position. We’re looking for someone who understands how works operate on site and can take responsibility for coordinating the people, contractors and day-to-day activity needed to get projects completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Ideally, you’ll come from a forestry, landscaping, grounds maintenance or similar commercial contracting background, although we’re open to people with relevant site coordination experience who are comfortable managing teams and contractors.

The Role

Working across live projects, you’ll be the key person helping to keep everything moving on site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating site teams, operatives and subcontractors.
  • Organising labour, contractors, equipment and materials required for each project.
  • Making sure everyone knows where they need to be and what needs to be completed.
  • Monitoring progress against agreed timescales and keeping projects moving.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and the internal management team.
  • Dealing with day-to-day issues on site and finding practical solutions.
  • Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards.
  • Supporting site health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Providing regular updates on progress and any potential delays or issues.
  • Completing basic project and site documentation where required.

What We’re Looking For

You do not need to be a senior or highly experienced Project Manager.

We’re much more interested in finding someone who is organised, confident dealing with people and understands what it takes to coordinate works successfully on site.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience within commercial forestry, landscaping, grounds maintenance or a related sector.
  • Experience coordinating site teams, operatives or subcontractors.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several moving parts at once.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to solving problems.
  • Confidence communicating with clients, contractors and site teams.
  • A good understanding of health and safety within a site environment.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Contracts Supervisor, Project Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Foreman or Junior Project Manager could all be relevant.

What’s on Offer

  • £20–£30 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Minimum 6-month contract with potential to extend.
  • Opportunity to work across a variety of commercial forestry and landscaping projects.
  • A role with plenty of autonomy without needing to be a senior-level Project Manager.
  • Opportunity to join an established specialist contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

If you have experience coordinating people and contractors on commercial forestry, landscaping or similar projects and are looking for your next contract, we’d love to hear from you.
