Internal Sales Representative – Permanent Contract to Start ASAP!!

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia

Salary: 4,000 MYR per month

Hours of Work: 40hrs per week (8.30am – 5.00pm Mon – Fri)

Main role and responsibilities

You will be responsible for promoting and selling the full range of products offered by the company to the Aerospace market and other markets. This includes aluminium, titanium, steel, and other metals available through the company.

In addition to sales responsibilities, you will also manage and administer contracts and long-term agreements held by the company. A key aspect of the role is delivering a high standard of customer service while ensuring all contractual obligations are met consistently.

Essential – Must have sales / business development experience working within aerospace industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management and Development

  • Develop, track, and maintain a robust customer base in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct cold calls to new prospects, reactivate dormant accounts, and maintain up-to-date customer records.
  • Execute regular territory reviews and update account information using StelPlan or CRM tools.
  • Maintain frequent communication with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings to foster strong, long-term relationships.
  • Cover customer accounts during colleague absences to ensure seamless service delivery.

 

Sales Execution and Business Growth

  • Generate profitable revenue by converting leads, managing accounts, and closing orders.
  • Solicit and respond to customer quotations, including for new product initiatives.
  • Promote new product lines to both current and prospective customers in alignment with sales strategies.
  • Unearth additional sales opportunities and value-added solutions within the customer base.
  • Provide insights on competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to Sales Management.

 

Order Management and Fulfilment

  • Process customer orders accurately, including data entry, stock allocation (using FIFO), and purchase requisitions.
  • Use cut-planner software and internal systems to ensure timely and precise order execution.
  • Manage customer order books, forecasts, and inventory profiles to support just-in-time delivery.
  • Coordinate timely release of orders to the warehouse to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor incoming stock and proactively communicate any potential delays to customers.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Provide prompt responses to customer inquiries regarding orders, quotes, technical data, and documentation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues related to missing paperwork, shipping documents, or invoices.
  • Return calls and messages promptly and maintain a high standard of professionalism in all communications.

Financial Oversight and Credit Management

  • Support the maintenance of A/R (Accounts Receivable) integrity across all customer accounts.
  • Execute credit and return authorization forms as needed.
  • Monitor customer credit lines, resolve related issues, and liaise with the finance team to ensure accounts remain in good standing.
  • Stay informed of account statuses and proactively communicate with clients on A/R matters.

 

Internal Collaboration and Reporting

  • Provide regular feedback to Sales Management and Administrative Departments regarding inventory gaps, customer feedback, and fiscal health of client accounts.
  • Communicate valuable insights from end-users and customer supply chains.
  • Participate actively in scheduled meetings, preparing industry insights, presenting when required, and offering constructive suggestions for improvement.
  • Respond in a timely manner to internal inquiries or assignments from Sales Management and other departments
