Hours of Work:  8am – 5.00pm – Mon – Fri (40hrs)

Salary:              £28,000pa

Main role and responsibilities

Supporting the Contracts Manager in administering contracts and long-term agreements.  Provide a high level of service and ensure our contractual obligations are consistently met. To manage and procure inventory in line with customer forecasts.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Receiving and processing customer forecasts & liaising with the purchasing team
  • Daily team liaison, daily problem solving
  • Order progressing and issuing weekly order updates to the contract’s admin teams
  • Resolving gaps in supply
  • Analysing delivery performance and issuing to both internal and external contacts
  • Creating KPI’s
  • Stock management and analysing actual vs forecast and any forecast discrepancies
  • Aid in month end reporting
  • Quoting/requesting prices for spot items where necessary
  • Supporting other team members when workloads are high
  • Respond to client queries in timely manner
  • Produce & maintain a database for all customer parts and pricing
  • Maintain stock levels in line with forecasts, company location, lead times & contractual obligations, ensuring correct amounts reserved
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers for materials where necessary
  • Monitor actual versus forecasted usage
  • Challenge forecasts/slow & non-moving parts and request amendments to purchase orders, if necessary, to ensure continuity of supply and also to protect business cash flow
  • Monitor incoming stocks and proactively inform clients & line manager of any potential delays
  • Develop sound product knowledge to ensure opportunities are maximized
  • Record customer interaction on CRM
  • Cover customer accounts during colleague’s leave and travel
  • Unearth additional prospects and value-added opportunities with clients
  • Attend meetings with customer as and when required
