Saw Machine Operator (Plate / Bar)

Salary: £34,528pa – (£28,038.84pa plus £15 shift allowance)

Location: Minworth, Sutton Coldfield B76

Hours of Work: Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts – 37.5 hours per week

  • Week 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Week 2: 1.30pm – 12:00pm (Monday to Wednesday) + Thursday 1.30pm – 11:30pm

Are you an experienced Saw Operator looking to join a dynamic team?

We are seeking a full-time PLATE / BAR Saw Operator to work in a factory environment. Experience is essential. If you’re detail-oriented and committed to safety, we want to hear from you.

This role involves operating plate and bar saws to accurately cut metal materials to customer specifications. You’ll be responsible for checking measurements, programming machinery, quality checking finished parts, completing maintenance and safety checks, and ensuring materials are prepared safely for dispatch. Previous experience operating plate or bar saws is essential.

 Main Duties:

  • Operate the PLATE or BAR SAW safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Verify materials and cut plans to ensure precision before cutting.
  • Perform quality checks on cut piece

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Saw Operator, specifically with PLATE or BAR saws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of cutting specifications and quality control measures.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kgs and perform manual handling tasks.
  • Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
