Machine Operator | Temp to Perm | Start ASAP

Location: Marston Green, Birmingham (B37)

Shifts: Rotating Monday to Friday:

  • 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm – 6:00am (starting mid-May)

Pay: £12.77 per hour (£25,000 equivalent)

This is a temp to perm opportunity with a manufacturing site in Marston Green. You’ll be trained to run a corrugator machine producing cardboard packaging, working in a fast-paced but structured environment where quality and consistency matter.

The role:

You’ll be operating a corrugator machine that produces corrugated board by bonding liner board and fluted paper using heat and adhesive.

It’s hands-on work where you’ll be responsible for keeping the machine running efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and working as part of a team to hit production targets.

Duties:

  • Setting up, running and adjusting the corrugator machine
  • Producing single, double or triple wall board to specification
  • Monitoring quality and identifying any faults or defects
  • Working towards productivity targets (75%+)
  • Reducing waste and downtime where possible
  • Supporting maintenance and carrying out basic adjustments
  • Following all health and safety procedures
