Position: Sheet Metal Worker / MIG Welder

Location: Rugby

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm

Pay Rate: Up to £17 per hour (DOE)

Overtime Rate: Paid at X1.33 over 39 hours and weekends

Contract Type: Permanent or temp to perm considered (depending on experience and availability). If the position starts on a temporary basis, you will be paid weekly by Your Recruiters Limited

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Welder to join a busy, growing sheet metal engineering business in Rugby.

What you’ll be doing

  • MIG welding sheet metal components
  • Fabricating and assembling parts from engineering drawings
  • Tacking, welding, dressing and finishing work
  • Working on varied sheet metal projects
  • Using hand tools and workshop equipment
  • Checking your own work for quality and accuracy
  • Working safely in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed

What we need from you

  • Experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Welder Fabricator or MIG/TIG Welder
  • Confident MIG welding experience
  • Experience working with sheet metal
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Able to fabricate, tack, weld and finish accurately
  • Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Comfortable working in a busy, hands on workshop
  • Robotic/cobot welding experience would be useful but isn’t essential.
