Can you get yourself to Ellistown for 4:45am, drive a Counterbalance FLT, and graft in a proper manufacturing environment?

Position: FLT / Machine Operator
Location: Coalville
Shift: Monday to Thursday: 04:45 – 14:45 | Friday overtime: usually 04:00 – 11:00, paid at 1.5x
Salary: £13.50 per hour

This is a solid temp to perm opportunity with a fantastic manufacturing company in Coalville.

It is not a spotless warehouse job.

You’ll be working in a real manufacturing environment. It’s dusty and loud production envirorment, so expect a physical site, early starts, repetitive work, machinery, FLT movement, and strict health and safety.

You’ll mainly be operating a Counterbalance FLT, but you’ll also be trained to support as the “second person” on the machines when needed.

If you want a role where you can get in early, finish early, have your Fridays available for overtime, and work towards a permanent job, this is worth a conversation.

The hours

• Monday to Thursday: 04:45 – 14:45
• Friday overtime: usually 04:00 – 11:00
• Friday overtime is paid at time and a half.

Because of the location and the start times, you will need your own transport. Public transport is not realistic for this shift.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT
• Moving materials safely around the site
• Supporting machine operators on production machinery
• Working as part of a two person production process
• Manual handling and physical work
• Keeping your area clean and safe
• Following health and safety procedures properly
• Learning the machine side of the job as you go

What we need from you

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Experience in production, manufacturing, construction, aggregates or a similar industrial environment
• Reliability with early starts
• A safety first attitude
• Willingness to do physical and repetitive work
• Own transport due to the site location and shift times
• A good attitude and willingness to learn
