This is a great opportunity to join a pharmaceutical setting as a Quality Control (QC) Technician on a 12-month temporary contract, based in Loughborough. The role is ideal for someone detail-focused who can follow procedures closely and wants to build a solid foundation in quality control and regulated manufacturing.

Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Loughborough
Salary: £12.50 – £12.90 per hour
Contract: 12-month temporary

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine quality checks on pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging and instruction packs
  • Inspect labels, leaflets and packaging components to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines
  • Accurately record inspection data, labelling and documentation in line with regulatory standards
  • Monitor materials prior to production use and report any deviations
  • Support compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH
  • Assist during audits and inspections when required

What We’re Looking For:

  • No previous GMP experience required – full training provided
  • Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing background is ideal but not essential
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and remain focused on repetitive inspection tasks
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience in QC, GMP or manufacturing is advantageous
  • Graduates with a scientific or technical background are encouraged to apply
  • Strong commitment to quality, compliance and working in a structured environment
