We’re supporting a well established CNC precision engineering manufacturer in Chorley, known for producing high spec components across multiple industries. Quality isn’t a tick box here. It’s the standard.

Job Title: Quality Inspector (CNC Precision Engineering)
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:15am – 5:15pm (4 day week)
Pay: £16.00 per hour (starting rate)
Overtime: Optional weekly overtime, paid at a premium
Contract: Permanent opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out first off, in process, and final inspections on precision machined components
  • Using core quality tools including verniers, callipers, micrometres, height gauges etc.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications accurately
  • Operating CMM equipment for dimensional inspection
  • Recording inspection results clearly and maintaining quality documentation
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the quality function

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment
  • Hands on experience with verniers, callipers, micrometres, and other inspection equipment
  • Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances
  • CMM experience is desirable, but not essential – training can be provided for the right person
  • A methodical approach, high attention to detail, and pride in your work
  • Comfortable communicating quality concerns clearly and constructively
