Job Title: General Operative
Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour + Fantastic Benefits Package (upon permanent contract)
Location: Northampton
Hours: Mon – Thurs 7:00am – 3:30pm | Fri 7:00am – 3:00pm (40 hours paid)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

This Northampton based sheet metal business has over 30 years of trading history, supplying stainless, aluminium and mild steel fabrications across the UK and Europe.

The workshop is modern, organised and quality driven. Everyone has a role to play in keeping production flowing, and this position is key in supporting multiple areas across the shop floor.

This is a varied, hands on role within a structured engineering environment

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting different areas of the workshop as required
• Hanging parts ready for finishing or coating processes
• Packing finished products ready for dispatch
• Potentially assisting with basic assembly and preparation work
• Moving materials safely around the workshop
• Carrying out general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe workspace
• Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment preferred
• Comfortable with manual, hands on work
• Good reliability and timekeeping
• Willingness to learn and support different areas of production
• Basic understanding of health and safety in a workshop
• Ability to work at pace and follow instructions
