Want to work in a precision-led engineering environment where you see your designs built, tested and in use?

Job Role: Electronics Engineer

Location: Southam, Warwickshire

Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 17:00 | 16:00 Finish on Fridays

Remuneration: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Employment Benefits:

  • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • Private Medical Insurance (following successful probation)
  • Company pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer contribution via salary sacrifice)
  • 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Christmas shutdown (increasing with service)
  • Company sick pay scheme after probation (up to 12 weeks full pay, then 12 weeks at 50%)
  • Employee Assistance Programme (24/7 confidential support service)
  • Paid eye tests and contribution towards glasses for DSE users
  • Monday to Friday working pattern with early finish every Friday

Job Role:

You’re joining a specialist engineering business that builds high spec systems used across a range of industrial applications. This isn’t mass production. It’s detailed, quality led work where engineers are trusted to get involved, take ownership and make an impact. The environment is clean, organised and professional, with exposure to genuinely interesting projects rather than repeat, high volume output.

There’s a good level of support around you as well. You’ll get hands on experience with complex systems, ongoing training and development, and the chance to keep building your skill set as projects evolve. Where travel is required, expenses and mileage are covered.

What stands this role out is the mix of design and hands on involvement. You won’t be sat designing in isolation. You’ll be part of the full process from concept through to build and test, seeing your work move into real world use.

Duties:

  • Design electronic circuits and PCB layouts from scratch
  • Use design tools such as Eagle or Atmel Studio
  • Work with communication protocols including CANbus, Ethernet and Modbus
  • Support testing on rigs and assist with fault finding and improvements
  • Modify and improve existing designs based on performance and customer requirements
  • Work closely with production and test teams to ensure designs are practical and effective

 Our Ideal Candidates:

  • Will have extensive experience in electronics design (circuits / PCB layout)
  • Comfortable working with hardware and (some) software
  • Able to interpret technical requirements and turn them into practical solutions
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Confident working in a hands-on engineering environment, not purely desk based
  • Good communicator and team player
