Location: Leicester
Pay: £14 – £15 per hour basic + £2 per hour night shift allowance
Total Rate: Up to £17 per hour
Hours: Monday – Thursday | 6pm – 6am
Working Week: 48 hours paid

We’re recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner (Setter / Operator) to join a busy engineering and manufacturing business in Leicester, producing components for the yellow goods sector.

This position would suit someone with previous CNC turning experience who is confident setting and operating machines and has experience working with Fanuc and/or Mazak controls.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines
• Working with Fanuc and Mazak controls
• Loading and unloading components
• Changing tooling and making machine adjustments where required
• Working from engineering drawings and job specifications
• Checking machined components against required tolerances
• Using measuring equipment to monitor component quality
• Identifying machining issues and making adjustments where appropriate
• Maintaining quality and productivity standards throughout the night shift

What We’re Looking For

• Previous CNC turning experience
• Experience setting and operating CNC lathes
• Fanuc and/or Mazak experience
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Good understanding of machining tolerances
• Comfortable using standard measuring equipment
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and comfortable working permanent nights
